ReplyDeleteThe Ministry of women and social welfare and it's Secretariat are advertising a lot in protecting abused victims. The fact is neither the protection officers appointed as per PWDVA nor the courts established under this special act are bothered to receive a complaint. The sad part is, they are questioning the victim and her counsel that, "what urgency in this case". Neither the victim is allowed to travel to her parents place not the system takes any responsibility in securing her rights. Sorry to say this.. all those helpline numbers are really hopeless.
